Love!

My friend is studying Russian at Rutgers and he sent me this video, because it’s the russian version of winnie the pooh. I can’t read it, of course, but the type in the beginning is beautiful! So pretty.

Love. Mike Fleming part 2.

Love these photos. This dude is kind of an average photographer but he has an eye for cool type.

Love. Now that’s how you do “vaguely old looking.”

I don’t like this. It feels like it’s trying and failing to look old and worn.

I’m not sure if these count as type… but I made these cs3 cakes my senior year of high school. Love, of course.

Love: An SVA project, how fun!

For Stefan Sagmeister’s MFA design class.

I know not everyone will like this, because there’s so many typefaces used. But its fun and I think sometimes there’s a time & place for many typefaces.

Love: Packaging for the wine company Caelum.. The type used on this is all so beautiful… I wish there was a closer-up version of the word Caelum.

Hate.
Wow. I bet Paul Rand would have hated this.

I don’t know who made this but it’s pretty funny.

I will always love this.
From Sagmeister’s website:

“For this lecture poster for the AIGA Detroit we tried to visualize the pain that seems to accompany most of our design projects.
Our intern Martin cut all the type into my skin.Yes, it did hurt real bad.”

Love: “Self confidence produces fine results”

Stefan Sagmeister made this out of bananas. The last picture is the bananas after a while went by and they got all brown and nasty. I love this. I like type made out of stuff.
